The role emphasizes meeting state and company requirements, completing background checks, and supporting children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED is required
• 1 year of professional experience teaching in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred
• Twelve semester units in Child Development, including Growth & Development, Curriculum (Required)
• AA/BA in Early Childhood Education preferred
• Transcripts will be required at time of interview
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) for children is required
