The Goddard School of Chicago – West Loop is seeking an experienced Twos Lead Teacher to guide early childhood learning in a developmentally appropriate, Wonder of Learning environment. You will lead daily activities, implement engaging lesson plans, and collaborate with a supportive team to nurture each child’s growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred
• CDA preferred
• 1–2 years of experience with young children in licensed childcare/preschool setting preferred
• State-required pre-service training completed
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in handling children

Responsibilities

• Curriculum and Instruction: Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities using Wonder of Learning curriculum
• Familiarity with potty training and supporting children through transitions
• Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, inclusive classroom environment
• Maintain open, positive communication with families about child progress
• Supervise children to uphold health, safety standards and licensing requirements
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities
• Observe, assess and document children's learning to inform activities
• Support Assistant Teachers and Resource Teachers in a collaborative team
• Model and implement positive guidance for social-emotional growth and conflict resolution
