Job summary

The Goddard School of Vernon Hills, IL is seeking a reliable, experienced Twos Classroom Teacher to join our team. You will write and implement lesson plans based on developmental guidelines and create a positive learning environment for young children.

Responsibilities include coordinating daily class operations, planning engaging activities, and communicating with parents daily via various platforms. A degree in early childhood education is preferred and a background check is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, Psychology or related field.
• 1-2 years of previous experience preferred.
• Strong work ethic and communication skills.
• Positive attitude and inherent love for young children.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in relation to child handling and safety.

Responsibilities

• Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment.
• Creating and implementing fun lesson plans geared towards educational success and based on developmental guidelines.
• Plan individualized activities to meet the needs of children.
• Submit lesson plans for review in a timely manner with an experienced team.
• Establishing a home-school connection and positive family relations through interactive communication with parents.
