Sheltering Arms is seeking a Family Support Coach to drive two-generation initiatives across education, health, well-being, and economic supports. You will coordinate family-centered strategies with the center team and community partners to build protective and promotive factors in families.

The role requires collaboration with staff, parent leadership, and local schools to ensure coordinated services, strong documentation, and effective transitions for children through key milestones.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in family and consumer sciences, child and family development, social work or related field.
• At least two years of experience in a family support position.
• Strong ability to collaborate with families and community partners.

Responsabilidades

• Leads two-generation post-secondary/employment pathways and economic supports efforts.
• Ensures families participate in Bridge Assessments including goal setting.
• Assists families in finding employment, training, schooling and community resources.
• Builds relationships with community agencies and resources.
• Plans regular workshops and guest speakers on post-secondary pathways and economic supports.
• Leads two-generation social capital efforts and builds relationships with families.
• Promotes parent leadership by including parents in planning and activities.
• Facilitates networks and group activities supporting families’ needs and interests.
• Promotes knowledge of child development and parenting skills; involves families in advocacy.
• Collaborates with teachers for home visits and parent-teacher conferences.
• Plans transitions from EHS to PHS and to Kindergarten; coordinates with local schools.
