Job summary

Sheltering Arms seeks a Family Support Coach to advance two-generation strategies across education, health, and well-being. The FSC collaborates with center management to provide coordinated family support services and connect families with community resources and opportunities.

The FSC will lead two-generation pathways, promote parent leadership, facilitate workshops and home visits, and coordinate staff efforts to support transitions for children and families through early education stages.

Qualifications

• Ability to collaborate with families to develop goals and provide clear feedback about progress.
• Excellent analytical and listening skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Must be able to facilitate parent meetings and workshops.

Responsibilities

• Leads two-generation post-secondary/employment pathways and economic supports efforts.
• Assists families in finding and maintaining employment, job training, and school enrollment.
• Builds relationships with community resources and plans workshops on post-secondary pathways.
• Facilitates networks and activities supporting families’ strengths, interests and needs.
• Promotes parent leadership by including parents in planning and activities.
• Coordinates classroom activities and home visits to support child development.
