Mohawk Industries, Inc. is seeking a Twister Operator for the 2nd shift to set up, operate and tend to multiple yarn-twisting machines. The role includes loading yarn, repositioning buggies, threading ends, and monitoring production for safety and quality in an industrial setting.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and may have prior yarn or manufacturing experience. Expect physical tasks, standing for long periods, and lifting up to 50 pounds, with on-the-job

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• On-the-job training and safety training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and tend to machines arranged in a frame that twist yarn.
• Creel yarn packages and load yarn into twister; reposition buggies and stage tubes for winding.
• Thread ends of single yarns, operate spindle, and repair breakouts during production runs.
• Doff twisted yarn packages and transfer to a buggy/container.
• Monitor production output and machine equipment for safe and efficient operation.
• Clean and dechoke spindles to maintain efficiency.
• Perform quality checks using black lights to inspect yarn.
• Attend job-related training as deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follow all standard operating and safety procedures and company policies.
• Perform housekeeping duties and other tasks assigned by management.
