Job summary

Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT is seeking a Twilight Beverage Server to provide beverage service on the casino floor during peak hours. You will ensure courteous guest interactions and correct service standards.

Responsibilities include handling cash transactions, advising guests on drink choices, maintaining a clean work area, and complying with liquor laws and responsible service guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable guest experience.

Qualifications

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Excellent knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, glassware, garnishes and all beverage service techniques.
• Knowledge of drinks and recipes and ability to use endorsements at appropriate service opportunities.
• Skills in proper tray preparation and handling.
• Proficiency in ordering beverages utilizing the proper established call order.
• Ability to adapt to new industry technology.
• Excellent knowledge of the overall property and gaming floor.
• Excellent knowledge of state liquor laws including proper identification procedures, monitoring levels of intoxication, intervention strategies, refusal of service and shutoff procedures.

Responsibilities

• Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests according to department policies and steps of service.
• Handle cash outlays and payments per established procedures.
• Clear glassware, ashtrays and debris in assigned pit area.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment per procedures.
• Advise and assist guests in beverage selections.
