Job summary

Allied Universal in Port Lavaca, TX is seeking a Security Officer TWIC Vehicle Inspection Driver to protect people and property at a chemical/petrochemical site. This role involves controlling access, performing vehicle inspections, patrolling, and delivering courteous service to employees, visitors, and contractors.

You must hold a TSA TWIC card and a valid driver’s license, be at least 18, pass background checks and drug screening, and be comfortable using a computer or tablet.

Qualifications

• TSA-issued TWIC card required.
• Valid driver’s license required per policy.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds preferred.
• Age: 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel by enforcing site access-control policies.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify credentials, maintain logs, and report access issues.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and effectively.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, areas, and restricted zones within a chemical/petrochemical facility.
• Screen vehicles, deliveries, and personnel entering restricted areas following site procedures.
