Job summary

Allied Universal in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Security Officer for full-time TWIC Access Coordination at a marine terminal location. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and support a secure environment for personnel and visitors.

Responsibilities include monitoring access, documenting visitor and vehicle records, responding calmly to incidents, patrolling terminal areas, and coordinating deliveries and restricted-area procedures.

Qualifications

• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures at a marine terminal location.
• Monitor access points, check credentials, and maintain entry records.
• Respond to incidents calmly and communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular patrols of terminal areas and perimeter.
• Assist with deliveries and restricted-area procedures to support orderly operations.
