Point Quest, Inc. seeks a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired for the Seattle region. This in-person, school-based position runs roughly 8:00 AM–3:30 PM, with travel between sites as needed, for the 2026-2027 year.

Earn $50-60/hour as a W-2 employee, with full benefits and professional support from a mission-driven team. Ideal candidates hold a state TVI credential and a relevant degree, with experience in special education and working with visually impaired students.

Qualifications

• Valid state teaching credential with an endorsement in visual impairments.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in special education, visual impairments, or a related field.
• Experience working with school-aged students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction to students who are blind or visually impaired.
• Assess students' functional vision and learning-media needs.
• Support instruction in the Expanded Core Curriculum.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs.
• Adapt instructional materials and recommend appropriate assistive technology.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, related service providers, and school teams.
• Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
• Travel between assigned school sites as needed.
