Job summary

ProCare Therapy in Bonney Lake, WA seeks a contract Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to support Pre-K through 8th grade students in an inclusive educational environment.

The role focuses on delivering consultative services, developing accessible materials, coordinating with teachers and families, and scheduling regular monthly and additional sessions. Eligibility includes a WA Teaching Certificate with TVI endorsement.

Qualifications

• Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with TVI endorsement.
• Experience working with students who are visually impaired in school settings.
• Strong communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and families.
• Ability to tailor consultations to Pre-K–8th grade students.

Responsibilities

• Deliver consultative services to students and staff, guiding accommodations.
• Schedule regular consultations (monthly 30 minutes ± additional sessions) within flexible timeframes.
• Provide guidance on accessible materials, technologies, and classroom modifications.
• Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to monitor IEPs and inclusive practices.
• Share recommendations to optimize learning environments for visually impaired students.
