Qualifications

Summary of Duties

This is a posting for part-time tutoring opportunities to build an ongoing applicant pool. Positions are temporary and part-time.

Responsibilities include supporting ESL or foreign language students’ writing efforts, assisting with language concepts, building rapport, and possessing knowledge of college-level composition, MLA/APA styles, and presentation software.

Location: Newark. Tutors may work at Newark, Coshocton, Mt. Vernon, or Pataskala campuses, and should have experience with online tutoring via Zoom.

• 50%: Conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring, review notes, assist with test prep, and support language learning.
• 15%: Consult with staff on teaching methods for students with special needs.
• 15%: Refer students to additional support and resources.
• 10%: Collaborate with faculty on course content.
• 10%: Keep accurate records and support fellow tutors.
