We're looking for enthusiastic and knowledgeable Tutors to join our team! This is an excellent opportunity for passionate individuals, especially college students or recent graduates, to make a real difference in students' academic journeys while gaining valuable experience.

Job Summary

A Tutor at STEM Seeds Academy LLC provides one‑on‑one or small‑group tutoring to K‑12 students in various subjects. Tutors will help students understand complex concepts, complete homework assignments, prepare for tests, and build confidence in their abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide effective and engaging tutoring sessions in assigned subjects (e.g., Math, Science, specific topics like Algebra, Geometry, Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
  • Adapt tutoring methods and materials to meet the unique learning styles and needs of individual students.
  • Clearly explain difficult concepts and guide students through problem‑solving strategies.
  • Encourage critical thinking and a deeper understanding of subjects.
  • Communicate student progress and any concerns to STEM Seeds Academy LLC leadership.
  • Maintain a positive, patient, and encouraging learning environment.
  • Potentially assist in the development of engaging activities or resources.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in or a graduate of a college‑level program, preferably in Education, STEM fields (e.g., Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics), or a related discipline.
  • Strong academic background in at least one core subject (Math, Science, English).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly to K‑12 students.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children and fostering their academic growth.
  • Reliable, responsible, and punctual.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or working with K‑12 students.
  • Familiarity with Florida's K‑12 academic standards (e.g., B.E.S.T. Standards for Math/Science).
  • Experience with various learning support strategies or differentiated instruction.
