Job Overview

Cardinal Education is seeking passionate and driven Part‑Time Subject Tutors to join our growing academic team. In this role, you will provide individualized academic support across a broad range of subjects, including mathematics, science, humanities, and other quantitative and writing‑based coursework, helping students strengthen foundational skills while progressing toward more advanced material.

You will work closely with students in one‑on‑one settings to support coursework, standardized test preparation, and academic enrichment. Beyond subject instruction, you will guide students in developing effective problem‑solving strategies, critical thinking skills, and confident study habits, empowering them to succeed in rigorous academic environments.

Responsibilities
  • Academic Coaching and Mentorship: Provide one‑on‑one academic mentorship in various academic subjects and/or standardized exams, guiding students to discover their strengths, reduce stress, and overcome academic challenges. Complete comprehensive training programs to effectively identify and address students' individual strengths and weaknesses.
Qualifications
  • Eligibility
    • Strong proficiency in high school–level mathematics, with the ability to teach precalculus highly preferred
    • Comfortable working evenings and weekends to support student schedules
    • Ability to commit to part‑time tutoring for a minimum of one year
    • Availability of at least 5 hours per week
  • Experience
    • Prior experience in STEM tutoring and/or test preparation (SAT, ACT, AP, etc.) is a plus
    • Experience explaining complex concepts in a clear, student‑friendly way
  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree from a nationally accredited university.
