Job summary

Huntington Learning Center in Dayton, OH is seeking dynamic phonics and reading tutors to teach small groups of 1st through 8th grade in person at local schools during the school day. This is NOT a remote position.

You must have at least a bachelor’s degree. Part-time role 20–30 hours per week, Monday through Friday; hours may vary based on school schedule. Compensation ranges by credentials: $25.00/hour with a bachelor’s degree, up to $28.00/hour with a valid teaching certificate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Prior teaching or tutoring experience preferred.
• Teaching certificate preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Huntington Learning Center’s instructional procedures and curriculum.
• Work with the Lead Teacher and Program Director to implement instructional programs.
• Follow school policies and procedures; supervise students at all times.
• Maintain student records of attendance and progress.
• Administer baseline tests at established intervals.

• With valid Teaching Certification: Up to $28.00 per hour, commensurate with credentials and experience.
