Job summary

Huntington Learning Center in Dayton, OH is hiring dynamic phonics and reading tutors to teach small groups 1st through 8th grade in person at Dayton-area schools during the school day. This is NOT a remote position.

Candidates must have at least a bachelor’s degree; prior teaching or tutoring experience is preferred, and a valid teaching certificate is preferred but not required. The role is part-time (20–30 hours/week) with hours varying by school schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Prior teaching and/or tutoring experience preferred.
• Valid teaching certificate preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Huntington Learning Center’s instructional procedures and curriculum.
• Work with the Lead Teacher and Program Director to implement instructional programs.
• Follow school policies and procedures; supervise students at all times.
• Maintain student records of attendance and progress.
• Administer baseline tests at established intervals.
