Job summary

Huntington Learning Center is hiring dynamic phonics and reading tutors to teach small groups at the elementary level, in person at Dayton-area schools during the school day. This is NOT a remote position, and a Bachelor's degree is required.

Part-Time: 20-35 hours per week, Monday through Friday with hours varying by school schedule. Compensation ranges from $25.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on credentials and experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Prior teaching and/or tutoring experience preferred.
• Valid teaching certificate preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Huntington Learning Center’s instructional procedures and curriculum.
• Work with the Lead Teacher and Program Director to implement instructional programs.
• Follow school policies and procedures; supervise students at all times.
• Maintain student records of attendance and progress.
• Administer baseline tests at established intervals.

• Valid teaching certificate preferred but not required.

Compensation

• With Bachelor's Degree: $25.00 per hour.
• With valid Teaching Certification: Up to $30.00 per hour, commensurate with credentials and experience.
