Job summary

Poarch Creek Indians Education Department seeks a dedicated Tutor I to support student success through individualized instruction, clarify concepts, and assist with homework. This regular part-time role requires a Bachelor’s Degree and prior teaching experience; teaching certification is preferred, with Mandatory Reporter Training and First Aid/CPR to be obtained within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Previous teaching experience required.
• Teaching certificate preferred.
• Must possess certification of “Mandatory Reporter Training” or obtain it during the first week of employment.
• Must possess and maintain First Aid/CPR certification within ninety (90) days of employment.
• Ability to work odd and irregular hours, as needed.
• Must successfully pass the required criminal and character background check.
• Ability to travel and participate in required training, leadership development, and other events.
• Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities of this position adequately and successfully.

About the Role

The Tutor provides academic support to students by clarifying concepts, building skills, and offering individualized instruction. This position supports program and departmental goals and may perform additional duties as assigned.
