Job summary

The Poarch Band of Creek Indians seeks a Tutor I in Education to support student success through individualized instruction and concept clarification. This regular part-time position contributes to program goals and may include additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Previous teaching experience required.
  • Teaching certificate preferred.
  • Must pass criminal and character background check.
  • Must obtain Mandatory Reporter Training during first week.
  • Must possess First Aid/CPR certification within 90 days.
  • Ability to travel and participate in required training and events.
  • Ability to work odd and irregular hours.

About the Role:

The Tutor provides academic support to students by clarifying concepts, building skills, and offering individualized instruction. This position supports program and departmental goals and may perform additional duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist students with homework, projects, and test preparation.

Core Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

  • Previous teaching experience required.

  • Teaching certificate preferred.

  • Must possess certification of "Mandatory Reporter Training" or obtain it during the first week of employment.

  • Must possess and maintain First Aid/CPR certification within ninety (90) days of employment

  • Ability to work odd and irregular hours, as needed.

  • Must successfully pass the required criminal and character background check.

  • Ability to travel and participate in required training, leadership development, and other events

  • Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities of this position adequately and successfully.
