Job summary

IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL is seeking a part-time Tutor to assist middle and high school students across core subjects, including Algebra, Geometry, Chemistry, and language arts.

You will support individual and small-group sessions, track progress, and help students stay engaged with learning in a competitive athletic‑academic environment. This role emphasizes mentoring and clear communication to foster growth.

Qualifications

• Commit to at least 8 hours of work per week.
• Full mastery and experience of subject area.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Relate to adolescents for effective content support.
• Enthusiastic delivery of material.

Responsibilities

• Tutor students spanning grades 6–12 in select academic disciplines such as Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre‑Calculus, Statistics, Calculus, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, French, Spanish, Language Arts, History, SAT/ACT Test prep, Economics, Psychology, and other related course needs.
• Manage group tutoring when needed.
• Passionate about the progress of the student’s development.
• Motivate students to have a positive relationship with learning.
• Contribute to a friendly and productive learning environment.
• Model and encourage collaborative study strategies.
• Provide help with homework, lessons, exam preparation, and enrichment to students of various grade levels.
• Assess students’ support needs and difficulties.
• Help students catch up in school subjects where they have fallen behind.
• Ability to minimally work 2 Achievement Center sessions per week.

Position Summary

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual.
• ESE experience.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40 lbs.
• Ability to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.
• Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.
