Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a completions engineer for the Louisiana LNG project near Lake Charles, LA. In this role you will participate in completions certification and turnover through construction, commissioning, and handover phases, ensuring all documents meet client requirements and project standards.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of construction and commissioning processes as they relate to completion and turnover activities.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with data management and database usage.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to proactively seek out missing information.

Responsibilities

• Participates with completions certification and turnover/handover for the project, through construction, commissioning, and handover phases of the program
• Incorporates handover requirements from the customer and construction/CSU turnover requirements into the systems completion database
• Monitors the production of contractor certification deliverables, including quality of submissions, and adherence to schedules
• Develops reports as specified by supervision and generates on a periodic basis
• Coordinates plant turnover/handover to end user/client and system completions between parties on-project (typically construction to startup), compiling documentation, ensuring quality and consistency of turnover/handover packages to the client for the construction and/or CSU team
• Maintains lists and turnover processes as documented by procedure and directed
• Inputs provided data into system databases and administers the systems completion database; ensuring that requirements are set for systems under their purview
• Assists with the punch list database, running reports and chasing areas of focus as directed
• Assists with completions packages to certify completion of a turnover or handover element for review and approval
• Assists with completions documents submittal, checking and compilation processes or provides checking and oversight to subcontractors in this regard
