Job summary

MSA Safety in Pittsfield, NH is hiring a Sewing Operator / Production Worker to convert fabric into high-quality turnout gear shells and liners. The role requires learning stitching operations and may include other tasks as needed.

Starting pay is $19.27/hour with potential for additional compensation based on direct experience. Shift: 1st shift 6:00 am–3:30 pm, Mon-Thu, Fri 6:00 am–2:30 pm; overtime may be available.

Qualifications

• 3 months minimum sewing machine / stitching operation.
• Able to read, write and speak basic English.
• Background check, drug screen and pre-employment physicals is required.
• Stand stationary for 8 hours.
• Walk unassisted for full shift.
• Reach at or above shoulder height.
• Perform repetitive tasks using hands, wrists, fingers, arms, shoulders.
• Read, write, and speak in English.
• Hearing and vision requirements as stated.
• Lift and carry 1-25 pounds unassisted.

Responsibilities

• Operate sewing machines to stitch turnout gear shell or liner.
• Support quality by ensuring accuracy and teamwork.
• Learn additional operations as needed.
