Job summary

Insight Global seeks a Project Manager to lead data center development and construction projects in the Greater Richmond, VA area. You will manage from preconstruction to commissioning, coordinating with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with scope, budget, schedule, and quality targets.

The role requires 5+ years in mission-critical or complex commercial construction, strong planning, risk management, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CM, Engineering, Arch, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in construction or development PM on mission-critical or complex projects.
• Strong skills in contracts, cost controls, scheduling, and change management.
• Ownership mindset with delivering projects on cost, schedule, and quality targets.
• Experience with sustainability metrics (PUE, WUE) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of turnkey data center construction within existing facilities.
• Coordinate with GCs, MEP partners, architects, engineers, and vendors.
• Maintain project docs: development agreements, permits, drawings, specs, contracts, changes, closeout.
• Develop and track schedules; escalate risks to leadership with solutions.
• Lead meetings: agendas, minutes, action items, resolutions.
• Manage budgets with accounting, asset management, and leadership.
• Review and negotiate change orders with scope/cost/schedule impacts.
• Administer construction contracts: issue contracts, review pay apps, lien releases.
• Enforce project controls, change management, and comms plans to prevent scope creep.
• Monitor safety, quality, and contractual compliance of contractors.
