Job summary

Genuine Search Group in Dayton, Ohio is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to design, build, and deploy automated machinery systems. This role focuses on CNC programming, interpreting mechanical designs, and delivering full turnkey projects from arrival to customer acceptance.

You will optimize processes, collaborate with design, quality, and field service, and provide training and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 1–6+ years in manufacturing or automation environments.
• Strong CNC programming experience (G-code, CAM software).
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD for interpreting designs.
• Experience managing turnkey manufacturing/automation projects.
• Solid understanding of machining, tooling, fixturing, and materials.
• Willingness to travel for installation and support.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for multi-axis machining centers.
• Interpret designs using SolidWorks/AutoCAD to assure manufacturability.
• Lead turnkey manufacturing processes from setup to customer handoff.
• Collaborate with design engineering to improve manufacturability and cost.
• Oversee installation and commissioning at customer sites and ensure acceptance.
• Create detailed process docs, SOPs, and work instructions.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and automation issues to reduce downtime.
• Select tooling and cutting strategies to optimize cycles and quality.
• Support lean initiatives and root-cause analysis for continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for seamless project execution.
• Provide technical training to operators, technicians, and customers.
