Job summary

Turning Leaf in Stillwater, MN is seeking a qualified retail sales representative to provide customers with outstanding service and support store operations. The role focuses on welcoming customers, handling sales, stock management and teamwork to meet store targets.

You’ll contribute to a welcoming shopping experience and participate in training and development while supporting store managers and regional initiatives. A positive attitude and reliability are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Experience as a retail sales representative or similar role is a plus.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Team-oriented with good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager and Assistant Manager in daily operations and to meet or exceed target metric objectives.
• Coordinate daily customer service operations (e.g. sales processes).
• Operate cash drawer, performing basic math, counting back change amounts, and verifying cash and credit amounts.
• Conduct inventory counts and report accurate variances.
• Attend team meetings.
• Act as our store’s representative and set an example for other team members.
• Responsible for maintaining store cleanliness and organization in accordance with company’s standards and expectations.
• Properly follow all company policies and procedures and report concerns to upper management.
• Communicate with customers and evaluate their needs.
• Analyze customer behavior and adjust sales strategies and merchandising in-store.
• Address and resolve customer complaints and grievances.
• Ensure consistent execution of company’s marketing and visual presentation.
• Verify store security at closing by checking for locked doors, locked safes, and set alarms.
• Ability to sign for and receive shipments of age-restricted products.

Our retail sales representatives must ensure that every customer leaves our store satisfied and eager to visit again. Retail sales representatives are also responsible for directly supporting store managers and regional managers, as well as all store-level initiatives.
