Job summary

MAV Project Services is seeking a seasoned Turnaround Scheduler to plan and oversee complex outages in Geismar, LA. This full-time role coordinates with Turnaround Management, Discipline Leads, and the Project Services Department to ensure schedules align with scope, safety, and client needs.

Candidates should bring 5–10 years of industrial scheduling experience, strong Primavera P6 and MS Project skills, and a proven track record in earned value analysis.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years' experience developing engineering project schedules in industrial environments.
• 5+ years' experience using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
• PMP, PSP or CCP certification, a plus

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule the turnaround from the initial planning and preparation phases through execution and post-turnaround review.
• Establish, develop, and maintain turnaround logic networks, schedules, risk management data, forecasting, earned value analysis, schedule variance analysis, and schedule quality checks.
• Serve as a liaison between the Project Services Department and Turnaround Management on all scheduling and planning matters related to turnaround execution.
• Collaborate with the Turnaround Management Team and Discipline Leads to develop a comprehensive turnaround plan and ensure accurate status updates.
• Assist in reviewing and updating procedures and instructions for the preparation and maintenance of turnaround plans and schedules.
• Support Turnaround Management with reporting, including risk analysis and earned value.
• Review schedule progress and productivity of turnaround services, track and monitor earned value progress.
• Monitor actual progress compared to the baseline, and report the analysis to Turnaround Managers and Functional Managers.
• Participate in regular schedule reviews to ensure turnaround reporting requirements are met.
• Meet with Discipline Leads and Turnaround Managers to update the turnaround schedule.
• Assist in the development of reports on earned value and schedule variances.

Competencies/Qualifications

• 5-10 years' experience developing engineering project schedules in industrial environments
• 5+ years' experience using Primavera P6 and MS Project
• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
• PMP, PSP or CCP certification, a plus
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
• Ability to work independently and complete assignments within the instructions, routines, and accepted practices
