We are seeking an experienced Project Turnaround Planner to support planning and scheduling activities for a major asset in Port Arthur, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP, turnaround coordination, and maintenance planning within oil & gas or petrochemical environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate project and turnaround activities for the asset.
- Create and maintain project and outage plans using planning software.
- Prioritize work for efficient response, backlog management, and cost control.
- Develop comprehensive job packs including all relevant documentation.
- Coordinate development of work orders and schedules with Project, Construction, Operations, and Maintenance teams.
- Develop weekly, monthly, quarterly, and multi-year look-ahead schedules in collaboration with functional supervisors, engineers, and technicians.
- Manage manpower dispatching and availability.
- Provide technical support within CMMS modules and ensure accurate documentation of work orders.
- Identify material requirements and interface with vendors/supply chain as needed.
- Assist in KPI development and reporting on schedule compliance, including trend and deviation analysis.
- Support procedure revisions and assist in drafting new procedures as required.
- Recommend and implement training programs to improve work efficiency.
- Participate in budget development and cost control.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Qualifications
Education:
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
- Technical Degree or equivalent is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years of maintenance planning experience utilizing SAP in oil & gas or petrochemical facilities.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA.
- Proven experience in planning, scheduling, and execution processes.
- Experience with Prometheus, MS Project, or Primavera P6 preferred.
- Familiarity with scaffolding, painting, insulation, heavy equipment operation, rigging/lifting, welding, fabrication, and machining planning.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in PHMSA-regulated pipeline facilities or with gas compression/metering equipment preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
Certificates / Licenses
- Must maintain (or be able to obtain) a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing.
