The intern will gain hands-on experience and build critical relationships with business professionals, with meaningful on-the-job training and exposure to client engagements to maximize career success.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, required; with a focus in Accounting, Finance, or Economics, preferred

Responsibilities

• Develops a strong understanding of financial statement analysis, financial modeling, and data analysis
• Works on client projects with senior leadership and plays a key part of engagement teams
• Develops deliverables for client engagements with oversight from experienced professionals including financial analyses, presentations, and reports
• Participates in business development efforts including building pitchbooks and financial analyses for potential engagements
• Conducts financial research on distressed companies for discussions with legal advisors and lenders as part of our business development strategy
• Participates in onsite, virtual, and self-study trainings on financial modeling, Excel best practices and restructuring & turnaround case studies
• Learns about potential pathways and designations as a restructuring and turnaround professional which will include the CTA and CIRA programs (full time associates post-graduation will be sponsored by BDO)
• Participates in professional networking events at BDO and through associations including the TMA
• Other duties as required
