Job summary

BDO USA seeks an Intern Turnaround & Restructuring Service (TRS) intern to gain hands-on experience in financial statement analysis, modeling and data analysis while collaborating with senior leaders on client engagements.

The role provides exposure to professional networking, case studies, and on-the-job training in financial modeling, Excel and restructuring concepts, with potential sponsorship for designations such as CTA and CIRA after graduation.

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, required; with a focus in Accounting, Finance, or Economics, preferred
Ability to read and understand financial statements
Solid analytical thinking and report writing skills

Responsibilities

Develops a strong understanding of financial statement analysis, financial modeling, and data analysis
Works on client projects with senior leadership and plays a key part of engagement teams
Develops deliverables for client engagements with oversight from experienced professionals
Participates in business development efforts including building pitchbooks and financial analyses
Conducts financial research on distressed companies for discussions with advisors and lenders
Participates in trainings on financial modeling, Excel best practices and case studies
Pursues professional designations (CTA, CIRA) with company sponsorship
Participates in professional networking events at BDO and associations
Other duties as required
