Job summary

Business Contract Technologies is seeking an experienced Chief Restructuring Officer (CRO) to lead a complex financial and operational restructuring. You will work with the Board, management, lenders, investors, and counsel to stabilize the business, improve liquidity, and execute a comprehensive restructuring plan.

The role demands a hands-on executive with credibility, urgency, and a track record in distressed environments.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of senior financial, operational, restructuring, or turnaround experience.
• Experience as CRO, CFO, turnaround executive, or restructuring advisor or similar leadership role.
• Experience with liquidity constraints and distressed situations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the company’s financial and operational restructuring strategy.
• Assess liquidity, cash requirements, operating performance, capital structure, and near-term risks.
• Develop and manage a 13-week cash flow forecast and short-term liquidity plan.
• Identify opportunities to preserve cash, reduce costs, improve working capital, and stabilize performance.
• Partner with CEO, CFO, Board, sponsors, and management to set priorities and execute them.
• Serve as primary contact with lenders, investors, private equity sponsors, and bondholders.
• Lead or support negotiations on amendments, waivers, forbearance, recapitalizations, or refinancing.
• Evaluate strategic alternatives including asset sales, divestitures, refinancing, distressed M&A, and Chapter 11.
• Collaborate with restructuring advisors, investment bankers, attorneys, and others.
• Develop detailed business plans, forecasts, restructuring models, and scenario analyses.
• Identify underperforming units and implement corrective actions.
• Establish KPIs and report to Board and stakeholders.
• Drive accountability and ensure timely execution of initiatives.
• Provide leadership to employees during significant change.
• If needed, lead in-court restructuring with DIP financing and emergence planning.
