Job summary

xNorth, a pure-play Executive Interim Management firm based in Toronto, is seeking experienced Interim CROs to join our roster. You will provide strategic restructuring leadership during times of financial or operational instability, with a focus on turnaround execution, crisis intervention, and long‑term value creation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of executive-level experience in restructuring or turnaround roles.
• Proven track record leading organizations through significant restructuring.
• Strong strategic, financial, and operational skills.
• Experience navigating CCAA and other restructuring laws in Canada.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver measurable results.
• Excellent communication with senior stakeholders and boards.
• Expertise in crisis management and operational improvements.
• Industry exposure in transforming sectors (manufacturing, healthcare, retail) preferred.
• MBA/CPA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
• Incorporated in Canada; we assist with incorporation if needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead corporate restructuring efforts including debt and liquidity management.
• Develop turnaround strategies to stabilize financial health and profitability.
• Assess financial performance, operations, and org structure for improvements.
• Collaborate with boards and senior management to execute plans.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and cost controls.
• Drive decisions on mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures.
• Implement controls to improve performance and reduce risks.
• Advise on CCaa and insolvency proceedings when necessary.
• Coordinate with legal/financial advisors on complex challenges.
• Lead change management to align with restructuring objectives.
