• This position is for a control valve planner. Only Candidates with 5+ years as a control valve planner and 5+ years as a control valve technician
• This position is located in Port Arthur, TX.
• Local candidates preferred.
• Work schedule 40 hours per week during planning phase; 7/12's schedule during turnaround execution.
• Planning Phase expected from 8/2026 - 7/2027,
• Execution Phase 1/2028 - 3/2028,
• Project Closeout - 3/2028 - 4/2028

Essential Functions

• Proven ability to effectively interact with multi-functional areas (Planning, Scheduling, Engineering, Logistics, Purchasing, Finance, Quality, etc.)
• Understands control valve construction and workflow processes.
• Ability to accurately perform other duties as assigned.
• Understands quality standards as outlined by Client.

Qualifications

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Assists with the development of the control valve work scope.
• Identify, scope, and produce construction work packages for execution.
• Ability to read BOM and identify parts need for valve overhauls
• Perform and lead field walks for site verification to complete control valve surveys.
• Provide leadership in risk management, contractor safety, and mitigating safety issues in operations
• Organizing materials through expediting, quoting prices, and ensuring the correct parts are available for jobs
• Create detailed planning activities in Cleopatra for each work order utilizing planning templates as applicable. Activities include individual tasks, Client, durations, and assigned discipline.
• Provide daily schedule updates during outage execution.
• Create job planning packages for each work order per client guidelines for both internal and external distribution, e.g. bid events, contractor field personnel, etc. Packages may include pictures, P&IDs, BOMs, tools, safe work procedures, applicable standards, QC requirements, etc.
• Support client Management of Change process, recognizing plant changes and following through on all documentation and recommendations in a timely manner.
• Ability to effectively communicate scope, revisions, and activity breakdowns to other groups.
• Uphold and communicate high standards of housekeeping in assigned areas and on all job sites. Conduct frequent formal housekeeping inspections of plant areas.
• Complete close out and documentation as required by client standards and procedures.

• Willing to work a wide variety of scheduled days and hours, following strict fatigue management guidelines. Travel may be required as much as 25-35% depending on projects
