Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services seeks a skilled Scheduler in Richmond to develop and manage Level 4 Primavera schedules. You will transfer data from client CMMS/ERP systems, extract hours, and build detailed construction schedules from drawings and P&ID’s.

The role requires extensive Excel use for cost estimating, budgeting, and progress tracking, plus coordination with field teams to ensure alignment with the TAR schedule and project milestones.

Qualifications

• Deep Excel: complex formulas, charts, graphs, pivots.
• Able to type ≥40 WPM.
• Experience with CMMS/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo).
• Transfer data from client CMMS/ERP systems for TAR jobs.
• Interpret scope, drawings, P&IDs, and vendor specs for job plans.

Responsibilities

• Create level-4 Primavera schedules from drawings and specs.
• Coordinate with field personnel to establish logic for Civil/Structural/Mechanical trades.
• Enter and manage schedule data for cost budgeting and resource allocation.
• Generate weekly progress reports and PDF distributions to management.
• Integrate Level 4 job steps with high-level TAR schedules.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of MS Excel able to perform; complex formulas, charts and graphs, pivot tables, complex cost/estimating spreadsheets.
• Must be able to type at least 40 WPM.
• Must have working knowledge of CMMS / ERP systems e.g. SAP, Maximo etc.
• Must have ability & previous experience transferring data (job plans) from client CMMS / ERP System.
  • Must be able to assist client with establishing parameters / codes to extract TAR jobs from maintenance jobs.
  • Function in the CMMS / ERP system to accumulate information to create schedule
• In-depth knowledge of Primavera (P6) Latest version
• Utilize activity codes (manage WBS, set up dictionaries, code activities accordingly)
• Input and manage budgeted resource units at the activity level
• Able to generate a level 4 detailed construction Primavera schedule.

• Able to interpret scope of work, identify jobs via, drawings, P&ID’S, Vendor spec sheets, interpret spec requirements (QA/QC), perform field walks id jobs, generate job plans with resources, number of resources, durations of activity, total work hours. Identify all support crafts, materials, sub-contractors, equipment, and tooling required to perform job.
• Must have previous experience aligning with Capital/Project group to incorporate high level job plans into the TAR schedule until Engineering, procurement have been finalized & then consume high level job plan placeholders with necessary Level 4 job steps in the schedule.
• Organize and enter job plan data into Schedule and submit plans to cost department for budgetary purposes.
• Able to generate a level 4 detailed PSSR / Pre Commission / Startup Primavera schedule integrated with the construction schedule.

• Balance budgeted Primavera baseline schedule resource unit hours by discipline and phase to budgeted hours with budget.
• Extract direct field labor hours from schedule and utilize them to generate an overall and multiple phases MS Excel progress “S” curve with baseline % complete, actual % complete, forecasted % complete.
• Acquire progress from field execution personnel daily via installed quantities by discipline e.g. Shutdown, Scaffold, Insulation, Pipe, fixed equipment, etc.
• Extract earned unit hours from schedule and apply to the progress curves for actual % complete.
• Extract remaining unit hours to be complete from schedule and apply to the progress curve to generate forecast remaining % complete.
• Assist client with managing execution contractor to assure they stay on task, and on target for schedule completion.
• Submit Data to Populate weekly project progress report with safety stats, FTE’S, Quality Control Progress, Project Physical Progress (data from schedule), weather conditions, general comments, concerns and issues. Generate pdf and email to B&R and Client management.
• Incorporate Direct Field Labor change orders to schedule, incorporate hours, schedule impacts accordingly.
• Generate daily schedule summary and milestone reports, progress curve, productivity graph, generate into one combined .PDF report to be distributed via email to B&R & Client management.

Pay range between $70 to $95/hour and $150.00 per day per diem.
