Job summary

Sasol is seeking a Turnaround Management Specialist to lead planning governance and execution readiness for site turnarounds in Lake Charles, LA. You will oversee detailed work scopes, resource plans, schedules, and risk assessments to ensure safe, efficient execution.

Responsibilities include directing field execution, enforcing permits and safety standards, and coordinating with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and HSE to maintain alignment and meet governance expectations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of turnaround or capital project execution experience in petrochemical/refining.
• 5+ years of experience with Primavera P6 (oversight/interpretation; not necessarily hands-on).
• Bachelor level engineering degree or equivalent turnaround execution experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional alignment with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, HSE, and contractors for turnaround objectives and readiness.
• Oversee planning/scheduling deliverables, including work packs, integrated schedules, and progress tracking.
• Direct field execution during turnaround windows with daily/shift meetings and issue resolution.
• Enforce HSE and site permitting requirements, including permit-to-work and hot work.
• Manage schedule/scope changes with risk assessment and governance approval.
• Collaborate with Procurement to evaluate and select contractors based on safety and performance.
