Job summary

Flint Hills Resources in Corpus Christi, TX is seeking a Turnaround Lead Planner to lead mechanical/piping planning for turnaround events. You will coordinate with the Planning Manager, mentor team members, and drive best practices to ensure safe, high-quality execution aligned with safety and environmental objectives.

You will manage resources, set priorities, and identify roadblocks. The role emphasizes data-driven improvements, teamwork, and delivering reliable results for Koch's turnaround

Qualifications

• 7 years TA experience or industrial construction project management.
• Understanding of multiple refinery disciplines and detail planning.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with cross-functional teams.
• Held a significant role in multiple major turnaround events.

Responsibilities

• Manage and schedule mechanical/piping planning resources for turnaround events.
• Support planning meetings with Planning Manager and teams.
• Develop team members and provide a clear TA planning vision.
• Set team priorities based on scope, forecast, complexity and timelines.
• Mentor and share knowledge with Turnaround Team, Projects and facilities.
• Identify planning roadblocks early and communicate strategies to leadership.
• Promote PBM culture within the organization.
• Prepare detailed estimates, material take-offs, and execution packages for planning.
• Support Turnaround group during event execution and meet objectives.
• Develop and maintain team metrics around planning cycle time and quality.
• Communicate effectively to acquire/apply knowledge and improve decisions.
• Develop lessons learned and evaluate opportunities for continuous improvement.
