Job summary

Evonik is seeking a Turnaround Coordinator to lead the preparation, scoping, analysis of work orders, and scheduling for maintenance turnarounds to ensure plant safety, reliability, and availability. You will coordinate with the plant engineer and maintenance team to define scopes and review job packages.

The role requires 10+ years in maintenance or planning, SAP experience, and familiarity with RCA, Microsoft Project, and Intools.

Qualifications

10+ years in maintenance, planning, or a related operations role with maintenance influence.
Associate degree in a technical field preferred; Engineering degree with 2+ years maintenance experience will be considered.
SAP experience required.
Experience with RCA, Microsoft Project, and Intools preferred.
Able to work independently with a high level of initiative and self-starting skills.
Capable of establishing and adjusting priorities as dictated by site and business needs.

Responsibilities

Define and Review Turnaround Scopes: Collaborate with the plant engineer and maintenance team to establish and refine turnaround scopes, identify the critical pathway, and ensure alignment with operational goals.
Review Job Packages: Evaluate job packages developed by planners to confirm comprehensive planning, verify material requirements, and ensure all required permits are identified and listed for each task.
Safety and Risk Management: Work closely with the production and safety team to identify potential risks, ensure proper permits, and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Preparation and Scheduling Support: Assist in the preparation of turnaround activities and review schedules for maintenance and project tasks to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness.
Lead Turnaround Update Meetings: Facilitate regular update meetings during both preparation and execution phases to ensure clear communication and alignment.
Support Operations: Collaborate with operations before execution to ensure permits, documentation, and processes are prepared, reviewed, and compliant.
Coordinate Shutdown Activities: Manage planned maintenance tasks, inspections, repair work, and project activities by coordinating with Production, Maintenance, and other resources.
