Job summary

Turner Industries in Kingsport, TN is seeking an experienced Ironworker for a turnaround project. You will raise, place and unite girders and other structural-steel members to form completed structures on a crew-led site.

Essential qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–4 years of ironworking experience, knowledge of ironworker tools and rigging, and NCCER certification where required. Per diem may be available; safety on site is mandatory.

Qualifications

High school or equivalent required.
1–4 years of experience in ironworker roles depending on mechanic level.
Knowledge of ironworker tools and how to use them.
Rigging skills including wire rope slings.
NCCER certification may be required.
Post offer drug/alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and policy acknowledgment.
Must comply with safety requirements on site.

Responsibilities

Unload deliveries of structural material and set up hoisting equipment.
Bolt aligned members and ensure proper temporary positioning until bolted.
Verify vertical and horizontal alignment of members and guide hoisting operations.
Perform cutting/modifications to steel members as directed by supervisor.
