Purpose
Performs basic diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer and dealer-owned turf equipment, as assigned by the Supervisor. Some guidance is provided by the Service Manager or senior technicians.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostics and repairs on consumer, compact utility tractors, and commercial turf equipment.
• Participates in required Service Training programs to develop skills and knowledge.
• Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
• Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.
• Ensures a clean and orderly work area.
• Follows all safety rules and regulations.
• Completes reports, forms, and researches parts needed for work.
• Documents all time and materials used, according to dealership processes.
• Communicates professionally with manufacturers when needed.
• Maintains 90% or above recovery efficiency.
• May perform diagnostics and repairs in the field and provide delivery services if needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor or leadership.

Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in service repairs; handheld equipment experience a plus.
• Ability to perform repairs using tools and procedures outlined in Technical Manuals.
• Proficient in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in turf equipment repair.
• Ability to operate diagnostic vehicles and equipment, use Service Advisor, and basic computer functions.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs repeatedly.
• Tools needed for the job are provided by the dealership.
• Valid insurable driver’s license may be required.
• Good work ethic and attitude.

Working Conditions

• Extended and flexible hours, including some Saturdays, may be required.

Compensation: From $20.00 to $24.00 per hour
