Job summary

AHW LLC is seeking an experienced technician to independently diagnose and repair John Deere turf and utility equipment. You may receive direction from the Service Manager or Shop Foreman as needed.

This role includes participating in service EDUCATE training and supporting customer clinics. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of service repair experience, strong customer service skills, and expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

• Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
• Maintains condition of mobile service vehicle, trailer, inventory, tools and equipment.
• Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.

Description

Independently performs complex diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on John Deere turf and utility equipment. May require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager or Shop Foreman.

Independently performs complex diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on John Deere turf and utility equipment. May require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager or Shop Foreman.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex diagnostics and repairs on John Deere turf and utility equipment
• Participates in required Service EDUCATE Training programs
• Supports customer clinics
• Reviews and explains any maintenance, repair, or other service concerns directly with the customer and documents on work order
• May establish and implement effective stocking processes with the Parts Department to maintain the proper seasonal parts inventory
• Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
• Maintains condition of mobile service vehicle, trailer, inventory, tools and equipment
• Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
• Accounts for all time and material used in performing assigned duties
• Maintains a safe working environment and adheres to company safety program at all times
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

• 3+ years of experience performing service repairs
• Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to perform complex repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures
• Expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of turf and utility equipment
• Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions
• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required

Pay Range:

$17.00 - $32.00 per hour. Eligible for Technician Performance program in addition to hourly rate.
