Purpose
Independently performs advanced diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer and dealer-owned turf equipment or other assigned tasks by the Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Performs advanced diagnostics and repairs on consumer and commercial turf equipment, including Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products
- Participates in service training programs to develop skills and knowledge
- Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
- Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment
- Ensures a clean and organized work area
- Follows all safety rules and regulations
- Completes reports, forms, and tasks, including parts research and requests
- Accurately accounts for time and materials used
- Communicates professionally with manufacturers when needed
- Maintains a recovery efficiency of 90% or above
- May perform diagnostics and repairs in the field
- May provide delivery services when required
- May support or conduct customer clinics
- Performs other related duties as assigned, with possible revisions to responsibilities by the company
Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge
- 5+ years of professional service repair experience
- Ability to perform advanced repairs using specialized tools following Technical Manual procedures
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in turf equipment
- Excellent diagnostic skills with vehicles and equipment
- Proficient in oral and written communication
- Familiarity with Service Advisor and basic computer functions
- Ability to lift at least 75 lbs repeatedly
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed
- Provide necessary tools; dealership-owned specialty tools
- Valid insurable driver’s license required
Compensation: From $23.00 to $27.00 per hour
