Turfwerks in the Twin Cities area is seeking a Turf Service Technician to service and repair turf equipment from Jacobsen, Smithco, Steiner, Turfco and Progressive. This role requires strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills to deliver outstanding service for our customers.

Work in an indoor service bay with occasional outdoor work; lifting up to 75 lbs is required. Some travel may be needed during peak seasons to meet service deadlines.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in repairing/maintaining equipment.
• Identify mechanical issues and overhaul equipment.
• Knowledge of diagnostic equipment, schematics and diagrams.
• Strong communication and multitasking skills.

Starting Hourly Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour

Turfwerks is hiring a Turf Service Technician in our Twin Cities location to maintain and repair all brands of equipment including Jacobsen, Smithco, Steiner, Turfco and Progressive. This position requires excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to deliver outstanding service as a mechanic to our customers.

Essential Functions

• Repair the mechanical, hydraulic, gas, diesel, and electrical systems of turf equipment
• Prepare and submit, accurate, complete work orders and labor reports in a timely manner
• Load and transport equipment to customer location; unload and set-up equipment for customer use
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and adhere to all safety procedures
• Maintain positive customer relations through professional interactions

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in repairing/maintaining equipment
• Able to identify mechanical issues, adjust, repair and overhaul equipment
• Working knowledge of diagnostic equipment, procedures schematics and diagrams
• Problem solving and critical thinking skills; able to balance multiple priorities and demands simultaneously
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and negotiate with people at all levels
• Basic computer skills including the ability to use Microsoft Outlook and operate industry-specific software

Special Considerations

• Most often, work is performed in an indoor service bay, however outdoor work may occasionally be required, sometimes in adverse weather conditions including extreme cold and heat.
• The demand of this position often requires a high level of physical endurance. Work is medium to heavy requiring a minimum exertion of 75 lbs. of force occasionally and 25 lbs. of force frequently to lift and move objects; handling and grasping small nuts, bolts and fasteners is also required.
• Noise level associated with this position is usually moderate but can fluctuate between being occasionally quiet and sometimes very loud.
• While performing the requirements of this job, employee is frequently required to walk, sit, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch for extended periods
• In general, work occurs during regular business hours, Monday - Friday; however work outside normal hours, including overtime and weekend hours are required during peak seasons and to meet service deadlines.
• Day travel is required on occasion; overnight travel may be required infrequently.
• Technicians must supply his/her own hand tools; speciality tools are supplied at Turfwerks' discretion

Pay and Benefits
