Job summary

Scepter Golf Club and Renaissance Golf Club – Sun City Center, FL, seek a dedicated Turf Operator to join our agronomy team. This full-time role focuses on daily operation of turf equipment, course maintenance, and keeping the course in optimal condition year-round.

Key tasks include mowing, irrigation checks, pest/disease checks, and setup for daily play. Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays in South Florida’s climate.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience in golf course maintenance or landscaping preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Familiarity with turf equipment operation and repair a plus.
• Irrigation repair and drainage experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain a variety of equipment including triplex mowers, fairway mowers, greens rollers, utility vehicles, aerifiers, and sprayers and various hand tools.
• Perform routine golf course maintenance of greens, tees, collars, fairways, and roughs, including bunker care, edging, and debris removal.
• Assist with irrigation system checks, minor repairs, and water management practices.
• Monitor turf health, identify issues such as pests or disease, and report findings to the Superintendent.
• Ensure all equipment is cleaned, serviced, refueled and safely stored after use.
• Follow course standards and instructions from the Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent.
• Help set up the course for daily play, including tee markers, hole locations, and signage
