Job summary

Down to Earth in Florida is seeking a Golf Equipment Operator to support daily golf course maintenance within our Golf Division. You will operate riding mowers, reel mowers, utility vehicles, tractors and other turf equipment to keep greens, tees and fairways at a high standard.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience on golf courses or similar turf environments, can work early mornings, weekends, and holidays, and demonstrates safety, reliability, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience operating landscape or turf maintenance equipment.
• Ability to safely operate mowing and utility equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate golf course maintenance equipment such as riding mowers, reel mowers, utility vehicles, tractors, turf vacs, skip-loaders, aerifiers, sprayers, and specialty turf equipment.
• Perform daily mowing of greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and surrounds as assigned.
• Assist with course maintenance activities including bunker maintenance, debris removal, edging, and general grounds care.
• Monitor turf conditions and report issues such as disease, stress, or damage to supervisors.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance such as cleaning, fueling, and blade checks.
• Follow daily work schedules, mowing patterns, and course setup instructions.
• Adhere to all safety policies, equipment guidelines, and course rules.
• Support tournament setup, special events, and seasonal course preparation
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas, equipment storage, and maintenance zones
• Performing other tasks as assigned
