Job summary

Shaw Industries Group, Inc. in Georgia seeks a Turf Fiber Technical Manager to lead technical initiatives in turf fiber and color operations, aligning with sales and sourcing to drive innovative products.

You will coordinate lab studies, pilot and production trials, manage IP protection, and coach a cross-functional team to meet performance and cost targets while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in polymer chemistry or engineering required.
• 5+ years turf/turf fiber or 10+ years plastics/extrusion manufacturing experience.
• Domestic travel about 50% of the time.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience coordinating product development and IP protection.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with internal customers (Manufacturing, R&D, Marketing, Sourcing, Sustainability) to set performance requirements and targets.
• Design and coordinate lab studies, pilot trials, and production trials to develop fiber extrusion and coatings that meet goals.
• Interface with customers and QE/Tech Services to ensure proper testing protocols.
• Lead cross-functional teams to drive sustainable product design and cost competitiveness.
