Shaw Industries is seeking a Turf Fiber Technical Manager to lead technical and innovation initiatives within the Turf Fiber and Color operations. The role partners with Turf sales, marketing and leadership to translate market drivers into new products and platforms.

Responsibilities include guiding lab studies, coordinating product development, and ensuring IP protection while upholding global safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Manufacturing, R&D, Marketing, Sourcing and Sustainability to define performance and cost targets for new products.
• Design and coordinate lab studies, pilot trials and production trials to develop fiber extrusion, formulations and coatings.
• Interface with customers, QE and Tech Services to ensure testing protocols are in place for finished products.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to prioritize trials and minimize impact on production orders.
• Initiate process or product modifications to improve performance or reduce costs.
• Ensure products meet global safety, environmental and regulatory standards and obtain necessary certifications.
• Interface with Global Sourcing and vendors to stay informed on new materials and equipment.
• Protect company assets including IP and raw materials.
• Lead cross-functional teams and promote sustainable product design.
• Assist in installation and startup of new equipment as needed.
