Job summary

Boom Supersonic is seeking a Turbomachinery Structural Analysis Engineer to own end-to-end analysis of rotating and static engine hardware, from disks to shafts, within one integrated team.

You will work with aeromechanics and aero as a hands-on contributor, building models, predicting life, setting frequency margins, and supporting engine tests on the shop floor with instrumentation and data correlation. This role offers ownership of whole components and direct impact on design decisions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on structural analysis experience on turbomachinery or rotating hardware.
• Understanding load paths, boundary conditions, and converged results validation.
• Experience with life prediction in at least one: LCF, HCF, or creep.

Responsibilities

• Own structural analysis of rotating and static engine hardware across disks, blades, shafts, and mounts.
• Predict life and manage margin for critical failure modes and fatigue.
• Build whole-engine structural and thermal models and the underlying material models.
• Set frequency margin and clear fatigue risk with aeromechanics; iterate designs.
• Plan and support engine/testing work, instrumentation, and post-test correlation.
• Disposition non-conformances and support redesign on existing hardware.
• Develop tools and automation to improve analysis standards.
