Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Turbo Product Team Lead to manage a team of turbomachinery design engineers, analysts, and integration engineers in the BE-4 program. You will set technical direction, guide production readiness, and own turbomachinery components across the engine lifecycle.

The role emphasizes leadership, safe engineering practices, and collaboration across cross-functional teams to advance spaceflight technology in a diverse, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering (aerospace, mechanical, chemical or physics desired).
• 8+ years of liquid rocket engine, turbine engine, spacecraft, launch vehicle, and/or aircraft systems development experience.
• Strong fundamentals in mechanical design, manufacturing, materials processing including welding, brazing, additive manufacturing.
• Demonstrated experience with Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DfMA).
• Familiarity with data analysis and data processing.
• Ability to lead teams and foster a culture of inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Provide programmatic direction and coach a team of project engineers, reviewing technical work and setting goals.
• Own team rhythm reviews and communications with IPT Lead, including reviews and forecasting.
• Lead hiring, performance management, and career development efforts within the team.
• Improve processes and tooling for DfM, testing, and engine development cycles.
• Own turbomachinery components through full life cycle for BE-4 Engine; design, development, testing, and flight readiness.
