Job summary

Air Products’ Rotoflow team in Bethlehem, PA seeks a Lead Mechanical Engineer to design and analyze high-speed turbomachinery for global customers. You will lead mechanical analyses, guide tooling development, and ensure robust integration with process systems.

The role requires extensive turbomachinery experience, strong FEA and rotordynamics knowledge, and a collaborative, safety-focused mindset. This position offers an opportunity to impact equipment performance and reliability worldwide.

Qualifications

• 20+ years turbomachinery or rotating machinery design experience.
• Strong understanding of FEA, rotordynamics, bearing and seal technologies, and manufacturability.
• Detail-oriented, collaborative, and customer-focused with coaching ability.

Responsibilities

• Perform turbomachinery design analyses including FEA, rotordynamics, and hand calculations.
• Help define strategy for mechanical design systems and processes.
• Develop mechanical tools and collaborate with software teams.
• Work with cross-functional teams to meet customer needs and promote best solutions.
• Mentor junior staff and develop training materials and standards.
• Support RCA, bid estimates, and aftermarket activities; drive cost reductions.
