Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Field Service Engineer - Controls Systems (Turbomachinery) to lead on-site control system installations, commissioning, testing and maintenance of gas turbines, compressors and related equipment. You will validate control sequences across lube, hydraulic, starters, cooling and anti-surge systems, and coordinate complex outages with teams worldwide.

The role demands deep hands-on knowledge of Mark VIe/VI/V controllers, PLCs and safety systems, plus the ability to travel

Qualifications

Technical diploma and ≥5 years field experience with gas turbines, compressors or rotating equipment.
Experience with Mark VIe/VI/V control systems and PLCs; knowledge of safety systems.
Experience installing, commissioning, maintaining and troubleshooting rotating equipment and control logic.
Willingness to travel ~70%, including international/offshore; TWIC card or eligibility.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.
Experience mapping DLN or DLE systems.

Responsibilities

Lead on-site control system installation, loop checks, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and maintenance.
Validate control sequences for lube, hydraulic oil, starters and anti-surge systems.
Plan, coordinate installation, upgrades and outages; manage schedules and logistics.
Provide technical direction ensuring Baker Hughes Quality, HSE and customer-site requirements.
Lead daily HSE toolbox discussions and follow Field Procedures with sign-off.
