Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Senior Turbomachinery Controls Engineer to monitor and support a global fleet of rotating machinery and related equipment from the iCenters and at customer sites. You will focus on data analysis, troubleshooting, KPI assessment, and serve as the primary technical contact for issues remotely and on site.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 5+ years of rotating machinery experience.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical experience on rotating machinery.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • Knowledge of gas turbines, centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, electric motors and generators.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills.
  • Willingness to work weekends/holidays on a rotational basis.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the focal point for regional sites, resolving technical issues and coordinating with customers and internal teams.
  • Monitor a diverse fleet of turbines, compressors, motors and gearboxes; analyze data and alerts to prevent failures and optimize performance.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues on monitored fleet and communicate findings.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation such as root-cause analyses, anomaly notices and monthly reports.
  • Conduct periodic technical reviews and maintain operating rhythm with customers.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, project management and vendors for root-cause analysis and resolution.
